JPSC Exam Date 2024 Notice

It is hereby informed that Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Preliminary Competitive Examination – 2023, (Advt. No. 01/2024) is scheduled on 17.03.2024 (Sunday) in two shifts in different districts of Jharkhand state as per the following schedule –

JPSC Admit Card 2024 Instruction

Regarding downloading the admit card and important instructions: –

  1. Admit cards will not be sent to the candidates of this examination by post.
  2. Candidates can check their Admit Card, Attendance Sheet and important instructions related to the examination from 12.03.2024 on the Commission’s website www.jpsc.gov.in with their Registration Number / E-mail Id / Phone No. can download by entering Candidate ID and Password.
  3. If candidates face difficulty in downloading the Admit Card, then call the Commission’s Helpline No. On +919431301419 / +919431301636/ +918956622450 Dated- 16.03.2024 You can contact on working days from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM till 2024.
  4. Candidates are instructed to carry 04 (four) self-signed color photographs of the admit card downloaded from the website, attendance sheet and photograph given at the time of application and one valid photo identity card at their examination. Must bring it with you at the centre, otherwise you will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
  5. Before entering the necessary information in your OMR sheet, candidates should read the instructions given in the Admit Card and OMR Sheet carefully. In case the correct and desired information is not mentioned in the OMR Sheet, the candidature can be canceled and the candidates themselves will be responsible for it.
  6. Blue/ Black ball point for recording the desired information in the answer circle in the OMR sheet. Only pen will be used. Therefore, candidates are directed to bring a blue/ black ball point pen with them to the examination hall.

JPSC Selection Process 2024

The Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination comprises of two successive stages:-

  1. Combined Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) for the selection of candidates for the Main (Written) Examination; and
  2. Combined Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts.

JPSC Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2024

Preliminary Examination

The examination shall comprise of two compulsory papers of 200 marks each, namely, General Studies – I and General Studies – II

  1. All questions of compulsory papers will be of objective type (Multiple Choice Question) and each paper will be of 2 hours duration.
  2. The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English.
  3. Selection list for the Main (Written) Examination shall be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in both the papers. However, the minimum qualifying marks will be as prescribed under Rule 17(i) of The Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2023.

Main Examination

The Main Examination will consist of a Written Examination and an Interview Test.

  1. The Written Examination will consist of 6 papers as detailed in Para-20 of the Advertisement.
  2. Selection list for the Interview Test shall be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in Papers – II to VI (5 papers in all) subject to scoring minimum qualifying marks i.e. 30 in Paper – I and minimum qualifying marks in aggregate as prescribed under Rule 17(i) of The Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination (2nd Amendment) Rules, 2023, in the remaining 5 papers.

JPSC Minimum Qualifying Mark / Merit List 2024

Criteria for preparation of selection list/ merit list :- Candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks of 40% in aggregate shall only be considered by the Commission while preparing the selection list for Main (Written) Examination and for preparing the merit list for the purpose of Interview Test. However the minimum qualifying marks shall be relaxable as per following criteria:-

Marks obtained in Main (Written) Examination Paper ‘I’ Language (General Hindi and General English) which is only qualifying in nature will not be added to the aggregate marks for calculation of percentage of marks, or for preparation of merit list for Interview Test or for preparation of final merit list.

How To Download JPSC Admit Card 2024

There are following simple steps for downloading of online admit card of JPSC CSE Recruitment 2023 as under described:

  1. At first open Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) official website https://www.jpsc.gov.in.
  2. In the home page under the “Moving Latests Link” section click on the given link as “Click here to download your Admit Card/ Hall Ticket for Combined Civil Services P.T. Examination, Advt. No.01/2024”.
  3. You will be redirected to the login page of Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination 2023.
  4. In the login page under login section enter your Email/ Phone Number/ Candidate ID/ and Password correctly in the specified input field.
  5. Finally click on “Login” button to download your admit card and you can download a copy in PDF or print out for future reference.
