The date of Preliminary Examination for recruitment to the post of SubInspector/Sub-Inspectress (Unarmed Branch), Sub-Inspector (Armed Branch) and Sergeant in Kolkata Police – 2023 has been scheduled on 28.01.2024 (Sunday). The eAdmit Card will be available on the websites of West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (https://prb.wb.gov.in) & West Bengal Police (https://wbpolice.gov.in) from 18.01.2024 on keying of their Application Serial No. and Date of Birth.

- The preliminary examination will be an OMR based MCQ type written examination. The question paper will be set in two languages (English and Bengali).
- The marks obtained by the candidate in preliminary examination shall not be counted for the purpose of determining the final merit list.
NOTE : There will be NEGATIVE marking for each incorrect answer in the preliminary examination. ¼th of the allotted marks for a particular question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
