PTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

B.Ed. Course (Two Year Course) :

Candidates securing at least 50% marks in aggregate in the Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree examination of any State University or any other University recognized as equivalent to and fulfilling the other requirements for admission to B.Ed.

However, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, MBC as well as physically challenged and Widow or Divorced women candidates of Rajasthan having at least 45% marks in aggregate in the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level examination will be eligible to apply for admission.

B.A. B.Ed./ B.Sc. B.Ed. (4 Year Course) :

Candidate securing at least 50% marks in aggregate in the Senior secondary examination of the Sec. Board of education, Rajasthan Ajmer, or any other recognized Board as equivalent (Equivalence certificate should be provided by the candidate)

However, scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, other backward classes, Most backward classes as well as physically challenged and widow or divorced women candidates of Rajasthan having at least 45% marks in aggregate in the Senior Secondary examination will be eligible to apply for admission.

PTET 2025 Exam Scheme and Syllabus

There will be one question paper in PTET exam which will have four parts. Each part will have 50 questions and the question paper will have a total of 200 multiple choice questions and the duration of the exam will be three hours.

1. Mental Ability: Mental Ability section will consist of 50 objective type multiple choice questions to test the following abilities: (i) Reasoning (ii) Imagination (iii) Judgment and Decision Making (iv) Creative Thinking (v) Generalisation (vi) Drawing Conclusions etc.
2. Teaching Attitude and Aptitude Test: The Teaching Attitude and Aptitude Test section will consist of 50 questions mainly in the following areas: (i) Social maturity, (ii) Leadership, (iii) Professional commitment, (iv) Interpersonal relations. (v) Communication, (vi) Awareness etc. This will be a test of attitude and awareness in which questions will be answered on a scale of 3, 2, 1 and 0.
3. General Awareness: The General Awareness section will consist of 50 objective type multiple choice questions mainly on the following areas: (i) Current Affairs (National & International), (ii) Indian History & Culture, (iii) India & its Natural Resources. (iv) Great Indian Personalities (Past & Present), (v) Environmental Awareness, (vi) Knowledge about Rajasthan, etc.
4. Language Proficiency (Hindi or English): The Language Proficiency (English or Hindi) section will consist of 50 objective type multiple choice questions mainly relating to the following aspects regarding proficiency in Hindi or English language: (i) Vocabulary, (ii) Functional Grammar, (iii) Sentence Structures, (iv) Comprehension, etc.

Note:-

All questions in the question paper will be objective type with multiple choice with minimum four answers. (See sample in model question paper)

The entire question paper will be in English or Hindi language except the language proficiency part.

Each question will be of 3 marks and the entire question paper will be of 600 marks.
