HP TET June 2026 Eligibility Criteria

TET TGT (Arts) :

  1. B.A./ B.Com/ Post Graduation (Master Degree in any discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.A./ B.Com) with at least 50% marks either in Graduation or in PG and 1-year B.Ed./ 2-year B.Ed./ B.Ed. OR
  2. PG (Master Degree in any discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.A./ B.Com) with a minimum 55% marks and 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed. OR
  3. 10+2 with at least 50% marks and 4 B.El.Ed. OR
  4. 10+2 with at least 50% marks and B.A.B.Ed. OR
  5. B.A./ B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) OR
  6. Pursuing B.Ed. & having B.A./ B.Com with at least 50% marks.

TGT (Non-Medical):

  1. B.Sc. (Non-Medical)/ Post Graduation (M.Sc. in any Science discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.Sc. (NM)) with at least 50% marks either in B.Sc (NM) or in PG and 1- year’s B.Ed. / 2-year B.Ed. / B.Ed. OR
  2. Post Graduation (M.Sc. in any science discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.Sc (NM)) with a minimum 55% marks and three-year integrated B.Ed. M.Ed. OR
  3. 10+2 in Science (Non-Medical) with at least 50% marks and B.El.Ed. OR
  4. 10+2 in Science (Non-Medical) with at least 50% marks and 4 year’s B.Sc (Non-Medical).Ed/ B.Sc (Non-Medical).B.Ed. OR
  5. B.Sc (N.M) with at least 50% marks and 1 year’s B.Ed. (Special Education). OR
  6. Pursuing B.Ed. & having B.Sc.(Non-Medical)/ Post Graduation (M.Sc. in any Science stream with B.Sc. (NM)) at least 50% marks.

TGT (Medical):

  1. B.Sc.(Medical)/ PG (M.Sc. in any science discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.Sc (Medical)) with at least 50% marks either in B.Sc (Medical) or in PG and 1- year’s B.Ed./ 2-year B.Ed. / B.Ed. OR
  2. PG (M.Sc. in any science discipline provided that candidates should have passed their Graduation Degree in B.Sc (Medical)) with a minimum 55% marks and three-year integrated B.Ed. M.Ed. OR
  3. 10+2 in Science (Medical) with at least 50% marks and B.El.Ed. OR
  4. 10+2 in Science (Medical) with at least 50% marks and B.El.Ed. OR
  5. 10+2 in Science (Medical) with at least 50% marks and 4 year’s B.Sc (Medical).Ed/ B.Sc (Medical).B.Ed. OR
  6. B.Sc (Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education) OR
  7. Pursuing B.Ed. & having B.Sc. (Medical)/ PG (M.Sc. in any Science stream with B.Sc. (Medical) at least 50% marks.

TGT (Sanskrit):

  1. Shastri/ Graduation with Sanskrit as an elective subject/ PG with Sanskrit/ Acharya with at least 50 % marks in Shastri/ Graduation/ PG/ Acharya and B.Ed. OR
  2. Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and B.El.Ed with Sanskrit as an elective subject. OR
  3. Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed with Sanskrit as an elective subject or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed. with Sanskrit as an elective subject. OR
  4. Graduation with Sanskrit as an elective subject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education) from a RCI approved Institute and possess a valid RCI and CRR number or B.Ed with a recognized qualification (Certificate / Diploma) from a RCI approved institution similar to B.Ed in Special Education and possess a valid RCI and CRR number. OR
  5. 4 years degree of B.A.Ed./ B.Sc. B.Ed with Sanskrit as an elective subject. OR
  6. PG in Sanskrit/ Acharya with minimum 55% marks and three years integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. OR
  7. Pursuing B.Ed. & having Shastri/ Graduation with Sanskrit PG with Sanskrit / Acharya with at least 50% marks.

TGT (Hindi):

  1. Graduation with Hindi as an elective subject/ PG in Hindi with at least 50% marks and 1 year’s B.Ed./ 2 Year’s B.Ed. OR
  2. Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and B.EL.Ed with Hindi as an elective subject. OR
  3. Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/ B.Sc. Ed. or B.A. Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. with Hindi as an elective subject. OR
  4. Graduation with Hindi as an elective subject with at least 50% marks and B.Ed Special Education and possess a valid RCI and CRR number or B.Ed with a recognized qualification (Certificate/ Diploma) from a RCI approved Institution, which is similar to B.Ed. in Special Education and possess a valid RCI and CRR number. OR
  5. 4 years degree of B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. B.Ed. with Hindi as an elective subject with at least 50% marks. OR
  6. PG in Hindi with a minimum 55% marks and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed. OR
  7. Pursuing B.Ed. & having Graduation with Hindi as an elective subject/ Post Graduation in Hindi with at least 50% marks.

Junior Basic Training (JBT):

  1. 10+2 with 50% marks or Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 2 years JBT/ D.El.Ed. OR
  2. Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2- years JBT/ D.El.Ed. OR
  3. Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and 2- years JBT/ D.El.Ed with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
  4. Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and B.El.Ed. OR
  5. Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-years Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
  6. Graduation and 2 years JBT/ D.El.Ed. OR
  7. PG with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-years integrated B.Ed.- M.Ed.
  8. Pursuing JBT/ D.El.Ed & having Graduation /Senior Secondary with 50% marks.

Punjabi Language Teacher:

  1. B.A. with Punjabi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  2. BA with at least 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. OR
  3. BA with at least 45% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  4. BA with at least 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. Special Education. OR
  5. Giani with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
  6. M.A. (Punjabi) with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed.
  7. Note: Graduation from a recognized University with Punjabi as a subject during the three year of graduation, B.Ed. with teaching of Punjabi (State Teacher Eligibility Test).

Urdu Language Teacher:

  1. B.A. with Urdu as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  2. BA with at least 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. OR
  3. BA with at least 45% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms &Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  4. BA with at least 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year B.Ed. Special Education. OR
  5. B.T. with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English & one additional subject with 50%marks from a recognized University and 1-year B.Ed. OR
  6. M.A. (Urdu) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year B.Ed.

Special Educator TET (For Pre Primary to Class V):

  1. 10+2 with at least 50% marks or Graduation in any stream from Recognized University & D.Ed in Special Education from a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) approved institute and possess a valid RCI & CRR number & Six- Month training of teaching in cross disability area in inclusive education. OR
  2. 10+2 with at least 50% marks or Graduation in any stream & D.EL.Ed as recognized qualification (Certificate/ Diploma) from a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) approved institution & possess a valid RCI & CRR number and Six- Month training of teaching in cross disability area in inclusive education.

Special Educator TET (For Class VI to Class XII):

  1. Graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks & Bachelor of Education Degree (Special Education) from a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) approved institution possesses a valid RCI & CRR number & Six Month training of teaching in cross disability area in inclusive education. OR
  2. Graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks & B.Ed. with a recognized qualification (Certificate/ Diploma) from a Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) approved institution possess a valid RCI & CRR number, & Six- Month training of teaching in cross disability area in inclusive education.
